Are Herbalife Products Vegan Friendly?

There are many reasons people decide to follow Veganism and a plant-based diet.

Because a vegan diet excludes all animal foods and animal products, one of the main challenges is getting enough protein. Animal proteins are “complete” proteins because they contain all nine essential amino acids. But – with the exception of soybeans – most plant foods lack one or more essential amino acids, so they’re considered incomplete.

Other nutrients may also be lacking. For example, dairy products contain calcium and vitamin D so it’s important to plan for these. And since animal proteins are good sources of iron, zinc and vitamin B12, careful food choices coupled with the right nutritional supplements can help to ensure these nutrient needs are met.

The Formula 1 shake has been the flagship of Herbalife Nutrition and the no. 1 meal replacement shake in the entire world.

The innovation team recently released a number of new F1 flavours that not only taste absolutely incredible but they are also vegan and gluten-free!

So even those following a vegan diet can get the benefit of high protein and vitamin intake!

Below there are the Herbalife Nutrition products that are perfect to implement into a vegan diet:

CORE NUTRITION
New generation Formula 1 (Banana Cream, Café Latte, Summer Berries, Strawbery Delight or Spiced Apple flavours) along with Instant Tea, Oat Apple Fibre and Herbal Aloe Concentrate Drink are a wonderful way to start your morning. They will provide you with a nutrient rich, calorie controlled meal which is high in fibre, vitamins and minerals.

NEW GENERATION FORMULA 1
Delicious, nutritious and quick to whip up, Formula 1 fuels your body with the right kind of nutrition. The new generation flavours contain vegan ingredients and are gluten-free. A Formula 1 shake works because it’s high in protein and every calorie comes loaded with healthy nutrition and the essential vitamins and minerals your body needs including vitamin D and B12. Each one can be customised according to your own personal taste.

OAT APPLE FIBRE
Most protein shake mixes don’t contain a lot of fibre, and most people don’t eat as much of it as they should. Adding Oat Apple Fibre is an easy way to increase your daily fibre intake. Or try adding fruits and vegetables, rolled oats, bran or seeds such as sunflower, flax or chia seeds to your shake, all of which contribute to your fibre intake.

INSTANT HERBAL TEA
Do you start your day with a high-calorie coffee? Instant Herbal Tea with its 85 mg of caffeine can help your concentration and is drunk either hot or cold but at only 6 kcal can be enjoyed guilt-free throughout the day.

HERBAL ALOE CONCENTRATE
If you’re feeling less than your best, your fluid intake may be the reason why. Herbal Aloe Concentrate lets you quench your thirst by livening up water. Made from Aloe leaf, this refreshing drink gives water a citrusy twist so you may find it easier to get the fluid intake your body needs to stay healthy and hydrated.
